A Franklin County man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to selling heroin, fentanyl and cocaine, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office from the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Back in January, Ahmod Talley pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to sell/possess with intent to sell and possession of a gun in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

According to the press release, the investigation into Talley started after a fatal drug overdose in Franklin County.
Deputies and Homeland Security Investigations found that Talley sold fentanyl to the victim three days before their death.
Later, Tally was reportedly pulled over by an officer, who found a loaded gun, bindles of fentanyl (reportedly found in the overdose victim's house) and bindles labeled "Life Support."
Law enforcement then searched Talley's house and found a gun, cocaine and marijuana. Officers also searched Talley's grandmother's house, where they found a rifle and 350 bindles of a heroin and fentanyl mix stamped "Life Support" and "Goosebumps."
