CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WCNC) - Charlotte residents will have thier first opportunity Wednesday to weigh in on the future of data centers in the city.
The city of Charlotte is beginning a series of six community feedback sessions throughout Sepetember. The meetings are designed to give residents a chance to ask questions, learn more about data centers and share their concerns with city officials and subject-matter experts.

The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 2. from 3 to 5 p.m. at the David Williamson Jr. Indoor Pavilion at Hornet's Nest Park. There will be a task force in attendance to hear community concerns.
"This is a national issue," Deputy City Manager Alyson Craig said. "There are a lot of converstaions going on about data centers about data center moratoriums but every city is unique, every community is unique."

- Saturday, Sept. 26, 4-6 p.m. — University City United Methodist Church, 3835 W W.T. Harris Blvd.
- Tuesday, Sept. 29, 6-8 p.m. — Virtual via Zoom
The city said recordings of the meetings will be made available to the public.
