Kitchen retailer to open in North Hills

The popular kitchen store Sur La Tableannounced plans Monday to open a location in Raleigh's North Hills shopping area.

The Seattle-based retailer offers cooking tools and in-store classes. 

Sur La Table will be located in the Lassiter District of the North Hills, near Total Wine and Lululemon Athletica, according to Kane Realty. The 5,800 square-foot store is set to open in the summer. 

Sur La Table opened its first store in 1972 and currently has 100 locations throughout the country, including one atDurham's Streets of Southpoint mall. There are also locations in Greensboro and Charlotte.
