North Carolina, East Carolina and Campbell will play in this year’s NCAA baseball tournament.
All three schools earned selections among the 64-team field, which the NCAA announced on Monday afternoon.

NC State (36-21) did not make the tournament. NCSU Athletic Director Boo Corrigan issued a statement on Monday about it.
"We are shocked and disappointed that our baseball team did not receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament,” NCSU Athletic Director Boo Corrigan said in a statement. “We hurt for our student-athletes and coaches who worked so hard and who we believe deserved this opportunity."
North Carolina is among nine ACC teams in this year’s tournament, which is tied for most of any conference: Louisville, Miami, UNC, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Virginia, Wake Forest and Florida State.
North Carolina (38-19) is making its 34th NCAA appearance and welcomes Hofstra (30-25) for its first game on Friday at 2 p.m. This will be the 12th time that UNC has hosted a tournament regional, the 11th time since 2006.
Campbell (40-17) will begin NCAA tournament paly at the Knoxville Regional. On Friday, the Camels are scheduled to play Georgia Tech.
ECU (42-18) will make its 32nd postseason appearance and sixth in the last seven years. The Pirates will host their fifth regional at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium, and will square off against No. 4 Coppin State (24-28) in the first round of regional play on Friday at 1 p.m.
The NCAA regionals are scheduled from Friday - June 6 in a double-elimination tournament. The regional winners will advance to the Super Regionals, which is scheduled to run from June 10 - June 13. The Super Regionals are a best-of-three series. The eight Super Regionals champions will advance to the College World Series, which is set to begin on June 17.
