Police are warning Cary residents about a home break-in that happened on Friday evening in the Regency Park neighborhood.
Around 8:37 p.m., multiple people broke into a home on Richelieu Drive, where many of the homes are valued at between one and two million dollars.

Police say they stole expensive jewelry, high end watches and two handguns.
The thieves were able to enter the home through the back door, then fled the scene in a small, gray SUV, possibly an Acura. The vehicle was reported to have a loud after-market muffler.
"This break-in serves as a reminder for all residents to take necessary precautions to secure their homes and belongings. Ensure all windows and doors are locked, security alarm features are working properly and the system is activated whenever residents are away from home," police wrote.
Similar residential break-ins in multi-million dollar homes in Raleigh
While it is not known if this residential break-in is part of a trend, there were arrests made in a series of similar break-ins impacting high-end homes in north Raleigh earlier this year.
Four suspects were arrested and charged in connection with break-ins at two multi-million dollar homes in north Raleigh, which could be part a bigger operation committing similar crimes across the country, search warrants show.
Officials believe those four men were responsible for more than 20 break-ins at high-end homes in the county going back to December 2022.
“We’ve had as high as $1 million worth of value out of one home with the property – jewelry, precious metals, high-end items – Louis Vuitton,” officials said at the time.
