A man was killed when a tree fell on a car in Iredell County Sunday, officials confirmed.
The incident happened along Landis Highway/North Carolina 152 at Brumley Road, near the Rowan County line, around 10 a.m. North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed the driver of a 1979 Chevrolet pickup truck was killed when a tree fell on the vehicle.

The driver was identified as 70-year-old Matthew Ronald Teeple, of Cleveland. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
