Stolen Jeep crashes into Durham apartment, driver flees scene

A stolen Jeep crashed into an apartment in Durham early Monday, and police are searching for the driver.

Around 1 a.m., officers with the Durham Police Department responded to the 300 block of Junction Road.

A stolen silver Jeep Cherokee crashed into an apartment, and the driver fled the scene.

No one inside the apartment was injured, and the Durham Fire Department checked the structural integrity of the building. The Durham County Sheriff's Office also assisted.

The crash remains under investigation.
