A suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting, Mount Holly police chief told WCNC.
The incident happened in the 300 block of Dutchman’s Meadow Drive, officials said.

Police said they made contact with the suspect and shot him.
A witness said he woke up to the sound of fire engines. When he went out outside, Mount Holly police ordered him to get back in the house.
The witness told NBC Charlotte he saw a man jump from a window of the burning house with a sword.
Officers have not released the cause of the fire.
