You uh yes yes please um so I wanna talk

to you about some of the issues of course that

you raised

I also wanna talk about the politics of it

Um you know you serve with Representative Fuxi in Congress

Is there anything specific that she's done or hasn't done

to not earn your endorsement No it's nothing to do

with her really

It's really everything to do with you know uh I

think in the Congress right now at this incredibly difficult

moment in American history uh we need people who have

The courage and the boldness uh to take on Trumpism

uh to take on oligarchy and to fight for the

working class and that is somebody I've known for a

number of years uh who I believe is is prepared

to do that

You mentioned a lot obviously about you know corporate influence

in all aspects of our society and affordable housing was

something that I heard you talk about a lot

I know President Trump has spoken about you know banning

big corporate investors from owning lots and lots of properties

Is that something that you find some common ground A

lot of it it's yeah it's something I think we

should consider but I think the real issue is

We have now not only 800,000 Americans who are homeless

we have something like 20 million households who are spending

50% of their limited incomes on housing

That's insane

So what we have got to do is build millions

of units of low income and affordable housing

This is the richest country in the history of the

world and working people should not be forced to spend

half of their limited incomes on housing

So housing construction is what we've got to do

One thing you talked a little bit about addiction and

addiction to wealth of course one thing that we've seen

here in North Carolina we just recently legalized sports betting

and the numbers have just skyrocketed

Is there anything that Congress needs to do or should

be doing on sports betting Look I mean what I

talked about addiction is addiction is a serious problem I

think I suspect in every state in our country surely

is in Vermont

But it's not just drugs and it's not just alcohol

You have a billionaire class who have never ever had

it so good

The richest people in America doing phenomenally well

You've got one man who owns more wealth than the

bottom 52% of households in this country

That's insane

OK

And yet they want more and more and more

And the reason I'm supporting candidates like Nina

Is that she will have the guts to stand up

to that billionaire class and say you know what enough

is enough

You can't own it all

Working people need a fair shake as well

So what is standing about it

OK thanks very much

Appreciate you
