NC treasurer says that AI helped give nearly $23M to Helene recovery

State Treasurer Brad Briner says artificial intelligence helped reduce the administrative cost of managing Hurricane Helene recovery loans by 90%, allowing more of the available money to go directly to Western North Carolina communities.
