Four Triangle restaurants are among 50 nominees for best new restaurant in the country according to Bon Appetit.
Benchwarmers Bagels opened in February at Transfer Co. Food Hall in downtown Raleigh. The restaurant is a collaboration between Josh Bellamy and Sam Kirkpatrick of Boulted Bread and Andrew Cash of Jubala Coffee.

Heirloom Brewshop is located at the bottom floor of The Dillon in downtown Raleigh. Bon Appetit praised this tea shop for its sake and Taiwanese fried chicken.
Chef Michael Lee opened M Tempura, 111 Orange St. in Durham, nearly a year ago. Bon Appetit noted the menu's "expertly fried" tempura.
Sister Liu's Kitchen, located at 5504 Durham Chapel Hill Blvd, is a takeout only restaurant serving Chinese burgers, charcuterie and a selection of handmade dumplings.
Asheville's Benne on Eagle is also nominated.
The top 10 will be announced on Sept. 17.
In 2017, Brewery Bhavana in downtown Raleigh was named among the top 10 best new restaurants in the country. The downtown Raleigh brewery, flower shop, book store and dim sum restaurant caught the attention of the magazine and website, which hailed its "bright, light and cheery" vibe. Brewery Bhavana was 10th on the list, following restaurants in St. Louis, Brooklyn, Philadelphia and San Francisco.
