Henderson, NC, USA — The two teenagers found dead Monday night at a Henderson home were siblings, the Vance County Sherif’s Office said.
The cause of death in the 13-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy remain undetermined pending autopsy and toxicology results, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office said two other siblings – aged 12 and 16 – along with their father, were inside the home on Torri Drive at the time of the 13-year-old and 17-year-old's deaths.
"I appreciate the outpouring of concern from our community after the recent deaths of two children,” Vance County Sheriff Curtis Brame said in a news release. “I ask for your prayers and support for the professionals working tirelessly to gather each and every fact available to find out exactly why these children are no longer here with us.
“I also ask for your patience as important investigative steps must be completed before additional details can be released to the public."
The sheriff’s office said there is no threat to the public.
The Vance County Sheriff’s Office is working with the District Attorney’s Office, the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
